Romanza Gifts and Home Decor

People tell us we're crazy. Sometimes we agree. Vince and I have put our hearts and souls into our businesses. You would think one business would be enough but life happens and events take you where you never expect.

Back in 1999 I quit my job with Washington Mutual and we opened a little shop in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. As time went by, we grew our little business into something we are very proud of today. Romanza now has three locations, a full e-commerce web site and a surprising celebrity following.

Juniper Guest House

Walla Walla, the town so nice they named it twice. It's also where I was born and raised. Walla Walla is located in the south east corner of Washington state in the valley of the Blue Mountains. Recently Walla Walla has turned into quite a boom-town. When I left Walla Walla for Seattle in 87, there was just three wineries, now twenty years later there is well over a hundred. Producing some of the finest American wines, Walla Walla is quickly becoming a destination for wine connoisseurs the world over. Many of the wineries have received top scores from respected wine publications such as Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate and Wine and Spirits magazines.

Walla Walla is an amazingly beautiful place. During the construction of the Walla Walla location of Romanza, Vince and I fell back in love with the town (we actually met there in 84 but that's another story). One afternoon after having wine with friends we happened to drive by this little craftsman house that was for sale. We walked in the front door into the parlor and that's all it took. We bought the house that day.

Crazy again but what could we do. Well, since we would be basically living in two sides of the state, we decided to open the house up to vacationing renters while we were on the Seattle side. The Juniper Guest House was born. Click the photo below to be transported to juniperguesthouse.com
